Euro Impact Strips for W215?
Anybody ever seen them, better yet installed them? Would love a set if anybody happens to have a euro W215 and wants US spec impact strips I would be happy to trade! Let me know! Thanks

I have, just found a picture. Im sure they are standard on Euro spec cars. Any 215 owners in Europe willing to order for me from the dealership?

Go to the "pics" thread I have the last set of pics posted. In these pics of my car Im sure the impact strips on the front are two seperate pieces. I dont have the car at home right now so I cant go look to see if they part of the bumper or not.

Can anybody tell me the part# on the euro impact strips with the chrome strip? My parts guy says he cant look em up on his software at dealership. He thinks he maybe able to order them in if I can get the part # though.
I just need the two seperate front strips as he says they come independent of the bumper and in individual pieces. Thanks in advance

Of course they are seperate pieces man. Thats why they are impact strips. They come out of all bumpers MB makes prior to 07. If you give him a VIN number they can't look up parts for you? Give him a VIN that you are sure they have no markers and he'll be able to look them up I'm sure. Let us know I'd be down for a group buy.

Sorry, I mistook your earlier post that said they are one piece. The problem is I dont know anybody with a CL without the lights or I wouldnt be askin. If anyone could pitch in a VIN or part # it would be greatly appreciated.

you mean versus the parking sensor circles? We have to get in touch with someone with a W215 in Europe there has to be European CL's on this forum. All we need is a VIN. I'm going to scoure EBay.co.UK

Well I just checked and it seems if European cars do have VIN numbers at all, they are not required to list them on EBay so that route is out. Can anyone confirm that?

No, I still have parking sensor circles. But there is a thin strip of chrome that runs the lenght of the impact strips along the top edge.

You have to have the sensor circles, or you would lose that feature wouldnt you? Do the aftermarket bumpers from Lorinser/Brabus etc use the factory impact strips?
Guess you could always have your body shop fill them in if you dont want the unsightly circles.

will do, my parts guy just got back to me today on their status. He was able to get them by just e-mailing the german parts wharehouse. They wrote back that they werent for Canada but he said that I knew that and they didnt have a problem sending them over. So I would assume that any dealer will be able to get these for you. The come unpainted and the chrome strips are universal. My cost is $107.00 CDN funds and they will be about 7-10 days to arrive.
