On another note; should I keep the X-band detection on? It seems all I get is false alarm with the X-band. I read somewhere online that 30% of radars use the K-band and 70% use the Ka-Band. So why keep the X-band on? Has anyone detected a cop with the X-band warning?

i ask this because my 2006 cl500 has a real problem having its eztag toll device recognized[position is beneath right hand rain detector zone, behind rear view mirror]. its races through the toll gates seem to be invoiced based on reading my license tag from the violation photos. monthly i get a note telling me that i need to fix a special device to my front license tag[i don't run a front license tag even though that is a req in texas - no cop seems to care. i don't run one on my cayenne turbo or cl55amg either].
the 2006 cl55amg, with the eztag device in the same position, seems to have no problem being read.
my monroney for the cl500 identified this glass. the monroney for the cl55amg did not.
though i thought it unlikely, was the infrared glass not deployed across the board for all 215 series vehicles?
the real question is: did a 2006 cl500 have infrared glass and a 2006 cl55amg did not?
i run ez tag toll devices of similar design on all my benzes. on my porsche cayenne.
some are older. some newer. only vehicle that has a problem is this 2006 cl500. and since i don't permanently fix any of these devices to any windshield[they are all affixed with tape] i have trialed them all on this cl500. in a number of locations.
doesn't make a difference. according to hctra, none are ever read on this cl500. all are read on the cl55amg.
so, were some 215's outfitted with infrared glass and some not?
as i said, the monroney for the cl500 identifies this style glass as a standard feature. the monroney for the cl55amg does not mention that style glass.
