DVD upgrade on navigation system
I am considering getting an 01 CL600 and need to know what needs to be done to upgrade the nav. system to include a state-of-the-art DVD player. Please advise on cost and mfg. cos.

If you want it OEM factory, won't happen. The new DVD Nav units aren't even available in the 2003 models yet. When they do become available for 2004 (If they do), they will use a whole new data bus and a new form factor (size).
Your best bet is to go aftermarket with an Alpine or equivalent system.

Thats dissapointing to hear. One would think that integrating a DVD nav into a 100k car wouldnt be that hard, as the japanese have been doing for years, on much less expensive cars. Oh well..I have a designo silver CL500 arriving in early may...

1) What are the exact differences between the Command system on an 01 and 03 CL600?
2) Can I upgrade an 01 to an 03 system?
3) Other than the rear tailight lenses and this, are there any other differences between those 2 years?
