all w215 and mercedes in general take iridium spark plugs,best plug brand for mercedes is bosch,bosch iridium plugs are also the ones that come on them from factory..

Thanks, but what I'm asking for is the exact plug that MB put in the '02 CL500 at the factory.

Thanks to both you guys...Wease your no. is what I was looking for. Does the Bosch 4501 need to be gaped? If so, what is the gap?
I pulled the wire off one of the plugs today and it looks like a bear of a job to get the new plug started the way it is recessed. Is this the case?

all spark plugs need to be gaped,the info should be on a sticker under the hood
