Front License Plate
I just bought a 2006 CL500 with 25000 miles and almost a year of factory warranty. Flint w/Charcoal & Burl Wood. Has everything. I think I got a great deal; I was going to buy a 2007 E350, and I got this car for the same money and a lot more car.
What is the best fix for getting rid of the front license plate? Can you patch & paint the holes, or is there a replacement plastic fascia?
Should I keep the tinted windows, or if not, can tint be removed?

You can either have a bodyshop fill the holes and repaint the bumper...obviously the cleanest way. But if your state requires a front plate they may pull you over and you might want to put it back on for court etc.
You could fill the holes with bumperplugs. Search google for bumper plugs and it should come up. Probably the most practical solution and they aren't really noticeable.
For tint: Again check state laws. If it's too dark and you want to take it off you can have a tint place do it. Or you could try yourself although it may be harder than you think. Google helps for DIY tint removal.

We have a state trooper in the area who "specializes" in too dark windows, loud pipes & no front plates. The wife's SLK320 never had front plates, and she got pulled over one day by this guy. He just gave her a "warning" ticket to get a bracket & plate on. But when he saw I had the CL, he got real snotty with her & said something like "Your husband better have a front plate on his Mercedes!" Well, I already had a bracket on mine, but I'd been using one of those black plates with the M-B star on it...needless to say, I put the plate on. Wisconsin is thinking of losing the front plate requirement, and even though we don't have the SLK any more, I'd welcome that.
