hi, i've been looking at mercedes cl 500-600, cls 500-600, bmw 7series, mustang roush and chrysler 300c magnum. i'm intrigued with the cl 600 and have a few questions. what should one in decent condition cost 2003-2005? what should i look out for when previewing the car? can i use it as a daily driver? are they reliable? are repairs extravagant and common? are after market warranties available and recomendations. i'm a pretty conservative driver, but like to kick it every now and then. what should my typical mpg city and highway be? is it true that the car normally runs on 6 cylinders unless pushed? what is the more reliable car, the bmw 7 series 2004-2006, or the sl600 2003-2006?
thanks for any info, or insight you can give me. it will be welll appreciated.

I bought a 2005 CL600, 20k miles, one prior owner, factory warranty until end of 2009, 6 months ago. Excellent condition, 20inch kleemans with brakes (=10k). You should get that sort of car for around 35kish. I currently use it as a daily driver, mixed driving, light footed around 15mpg and no it doesnt run on 6 but always 12. I don't think a 7 series is comparable, not a coupe and much slower. Repairs will be very expensive but uo can get 4-5 years after marker warranty for a car like mine for around 5k. I woudl look for outside conditino, clean car-fax and if at all possible factory warranty or certified status.
It's a dream car but an expensive on to drive. Good luck, Luke
