Hey all,

Does anybody know how to properly store a 2003 w215??? I'm planning to store the car over the winter months and want to do it properly.

Having a car sit for a few months is no big deal. If the oil is fresh, I would just park it in the garage and disconnect the battery. If the oil is not fairly new, I change it and the filter. Washing and waxing is also not a bad idea. When putting it back on the road, be sure the battery is fully charged. BTW, the suspension will probably drop after a couple of weeks which is normal on the CL. It should raise after restart.

I think you should keep the battery plugged and use a good trickle charger (CTEK). If not, all your windows and other electrical devices will be screwed up...

There is a simple sequence for battery resynchronization after battery reconnect as follows:

1) Windows-hold each window switch down 1 second after window is closed.

2) Moon roof-Press switch raising roof rear; hold for 1 second.

3) ESP-Turn steering wheel full left, then full right.

I don't like keeping a battery under charge over night...had a neighbor burn his garage up doing so.
