2006 CL 500 WONT START
I PARKED MY CAR LIKE I USUALLY DO AND LOCKED IT. LEFT FOR ABOUT 8 HOURS AND THEN I TRIED TO OPEN THE WINDOWS WITH THE REMOTE. IT WOULD NOT WORK, I GOT INTO THE CAR AND NOTICED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS ABLE TO MOVE AND NOW THE INFRARED KEY CAN'T BE READ BY THE COMPUTER. ANYBODY KNOW WHAT COULD BE GOING ON OR SHOULD I LET THE DEALERSHIP COME TAKE A LOOK? THE CAR IS OFF AND THE STEERING MOVES, THE INFRARED CAN ONLY BE READ BY THE DOOR LOCKS AND WINDOWS NOW BUT IT WILL NOT GET INTO POSITION 2 ON THE IGNITION. THE LIGHTS DON'T EVEN COME ON WHEN I PUT IN THE KEY. ANY SUGGESTIONS OTHER THAN THE VERY COSTLY ONE.
A NEIGHBOR OF MINE SAID HE HEARD MY ALARM GO OFF FOR 2 SECONDS WHEN I LEFT, HE LOOKED BUT HE DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG.

His mama. Traded y0 mama in because she was squeaking.
Could very well be. After all, it was made by humans... and we're not perfect by any means.
If you have a multimeter (vold meter), check voltage at the battery, both with the vehicle running and it off. You should see 13.1 to 14.5 Volts. That will give you a good indication whether it's the battery or the charging system.
