Exterior Engine Hose Broken
Dudes, newbie on CL500 needs your help! My 2002 CL500 works great w/o noticeable problem, but I just noticed that one exterior hose (pointed by red arrow in attached pictures) connected to engine was broken. Can anyone shed a light on what is it used for? Shall I get it repair ASAP? What is the worse case if leaving it as it is :-( ? Thanks in advanced!

I can't really tell from your pic but it looks like the exterior sheathing is cracked, I presume the internal line has this because it's in close proximity to the exhaust manifold. If the internal line isn't damaged you should be able to fix this with a couple wraps of high temp tape/wrap. MB will no doubt want a few bucks to replace it.

Yes, how about them Flames, 1-1, yippie. After last year, I'm not holding my breath on anything right now, I'm in 'show me' mode in regards to that team right now. Still, after saying that, I still get up at 5am here to listen to the games overthe net.

Thx, Kevwood. Another guru also told me that cracked tube is just a heat shield to protect the internal tube underneath, and suggested me to have a dealer service guy re-examine it as I just had my B-Service done 2 weeks ago.
