'02 CL600 ABC-Red keeps coming on? System is fine. What can I do?
My '02 was at the shop to check the ABC system red light coming on all the time. She does drop after a week sitting but that is normal. The whole system checks out fine. No issues. No leaks. Nothing.
BUT, the moment I drive 10ft the ABC system Red light comes on and disables the system?
-Ride height is fine
-Fluid is topped of as was suggested.
-All system checks were done in the shop. Rodeo-dance incl. No issues or messages. Systems claims to be perfect according the computer.
My thoughts are that I must have a faulty sensor giving bad messages.
Anybody with an answer with identical experience?
None of the threads I have read are showing the same problem I have.
p.s. the CL has 125k Mls. and runs fantastic.

Do you know what "It" was that the indy found to fix the problem? Or can you ask them if they remember? This could be great help...
My shop, also is an independent, suggested they would find the problem. Just bring them the car for a while they said.
But I hate open ended repairs.
If you could find out that would be fabulous

It was the front valve block seal was causing pressure loss or whatever they do when they begin to go bad. However, my car was throwing a blue light. With a red light, I would let your indy have the car and take their time with it. A one time diagnostic fee is all they should charge you (if they even do - mine doesn't) no matter how long they have the car.

I just received my replacement ECM for my CL 600. This could be the solution for my ABC light coming on. We hope!
Can somebody tell where this ECM is located in the car?
This looks like a simple enough procedure not to have to go to the shop. That and I have to fly out on Monday for China so it be nice to have the car fixed.

If you're referring to the main computer (ECM or ECU) I believe you have to have the dealership code it to your car. You can't just install it yourself, from what I've seen on other Mercedes models.
