when is the transmission oil suppose to be changed for 00 cl500?
i just recently purchased a 2000 cl500 with 104K miles on it, everything seems to be good on it but when i checked the transmission fluid level (i have the special transmission dipstick for mercedes) the color was brownish, im wondering if i need to replace the transmission fluid and filter or is that the normal color for MB transmission oil?
btw i had the car for about 2 weeks now and drove it for over 1000K miles the car drives fine and has no shifting problem.

Was the pin on the dipstick tube cap red or black? If it was black, your oil has never been changed. The oil is fairly dark out of the bottle, darker/browner than motor oil.
