i would say it depends on the damage but usually 30 to 50% of normal value, also if your buying be sure to keep in mind if you plan on keeping it for long term then no problem as long as it was repaired properly, and if you are planning on selling it that i would not pick it up as it will be difficult to sell.

yes, from market value. not books. those books do not factor in real market prices.

depending on the miles and condition, i cant say for sure what it is worth but i have seen clean title CL's go for 10 to 15k

these cars can be found for well below blue book value without salvage title- i would keep looking

If you've looked at tons of CL500's and none of them are even close to your budget, even with higher miles, then look at salvage. I'd rahter see you in a nice well maintained clean title higher mile car than salvage. 30% off market price at a minimum, but keep in mind:Originally Posted by NeroBlack

1. Don't plan on reselling, because most people want 50% off.
2. Make sure it was repaired properly. Most aren't, and can fold up like accordians if hit again.
3. Check with your insurance company, loan company, etc to make sure they will work with salvage title cars.
