New owner here

I've been craving some real power for some time now and have always liked the W215, so the CL600 V12TT seemed like the right choice. Here she is........

2003 CL600 V12TT AMG / Sport package
- Complete AMG break set up
- 9x20 - 245/35/20 and 10x20 - 285/30/20
- Star Lowered
- 2 owner car, very clean low miles, exception maintenance

By the way I just did the ECU reset ..... WOW what a difference it make, especially off the line and low end, so much more pull now !!! Before it felt like it had no real power off the line, like a BIG heavy slow car (more so than it is) but now she's a hungry beast and I want to fead her more LOL

Mods to come
- ECU / TCU tune
- maybe some type of added cooling
- Wheel change
- We will see from there

Here are some cell phone pix from the seller

Now that's more like it! I wouldn't put the first wheels on to save my life

Looks really nice. Do you get 'purple' around the edges on the tint? (mine does)

Very nice, Karl! The original wheels were pretty hideous... but the new ones look PERFECT.

The PO had lowering links put on it, the ride is still amazing even with 20's and the drop.

Thanks, I love the V12TT CL's also !

After talking with several of the top V12TT guys that are really into these motors on this and other boards I recently went with the SPEEDRIVEN ECU / TCU tunes, and WOW what a difference they made and what a great company to deal with.

They are also having an amazing sale that I got to take advantage of .....

beautiful car man. i'd go with some V12 biturbo badges too lol hehe gotta give some kind of heads up to those unsuspecting challengers

the new wheels look fantastic and love how they added the AMG brake kit. never understood why the S/CL600 stock only comes with a larger caliper in the back and the front remains the same (compared to a S/CL500) vs the SL600 comes with a whole bigger setup front and back

Did you buy your CL600 brand new? Perhaps the previous owner had it done.

The (W215) CL600 had the same brakes setup as that of the CL500.

(R230) SL600 however share the brakes with SL55 (bigger than the 500's).

The brakes on the OPs has definitely been upgraded.

Sorry man, do some research, take a look at some photos on line, and you will see that the stock 600 set up is much smaller than AMG calipers and rotors. Its not a big deal I just like the look and performance of the AMG set up better.

I researched this and it was one of the reasons I bought this car, it was like getting the AMG rotors and calipers for free.

The PO spend $6K to swap out to the AMG set up, more that I would have spent but good for the next guy, me LOL

Ya i've seen a few around here in LA with the upgrade done. I think the back is the same as the AMG setup just says MercedesBenz on it vs AMG. IMO it should've come with the same setup as the AMG i mean with all that power you need it on a car like that and on the S600. Your talking almost 200hp and 250 torque more than a 500 plus a car that has more torque than a 55K so i just always found it messed up how they didn't put the SL600/AMG setup for the CL/S600's.

No, you are right. I missed the upclose picture of your front rotor. The CL55's front rotors are 15mm larger in diameter than the CL600 rotor. The rears are the same size on both.
