For CL500 Owners - What is your 0-60?
Curious to see if my New (to me) 2004 CL500 is performing the way it should.......
If you have tested it lately....what is your Zero to Sixty Time?
If you know what it should be that would also help.
Thanks for your input on this.
John

2002 cl500
Hi John,
I wold also be very interested in these results.
I have tested mine (2002 CL500) several times over a few months with one eye on the speedo & the other on the stopwatch and I reckon I'm around 7.8-8.0 seconds. I have tried summer/winter mode/full auto/manual shift and I can't seem to better this. Done full B service, incl filters/ plugs/throttle clean, oil flush etc.
Im a bit disappointed as published number is 6.3 according to wiki.
Seems quite slow off the mark and doesn't seeem to pull hard at lower revs. Only seems to really get going over 3,500.
Very interested in others comments

ECU Throttle Reset Procedures:
1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.
From what I have read (thoroughly) and from personal experience there are no Negative side effects to doing this.
Basically, it resets the throttle back to factory settings. As you know, our cars adapt to our driving habits so, if like me, you drive like grandpa and you are in a lot of stop and go traffic, it "dulls" the throttle response time.
If you try it let me know.

Cl500 7 speed
I get 5.9 out of my 2004 7 speed but have a map my dad has exactly the same but a 5 speed box and can only get around 6.7 his was around 7 plus before the map I don't know why but the 7 speed just seems quick my old man couldn't believe it when he first drove mine after remap its only be put up a small bit more for saving petrol than anything anyway as soon as he drove mine he also had a remap but I think I could probably get 5.5 on a good condition day and good pull away its hard to get the take off just right whith a map she eather grips the road hard feels like she is digging into the road or lights up the back wheels then the traction control kills all the power and you think you've broken the gearbox the first time this happens and **** yourself about the repair cost lol or like I said leave everything behind you like there standing still if you getting 8 seconds out of any V8 i would be concerned my range rover would give you a run that's not a good look
