Are you looking to purchase?

Knowing the price might help.

No offense , but before I even think about this car I would ensure that these wheels MUST GO ...I know it is completely opinionated of me .. but I personally think that wheels like that are an insult to the design of this classic body , MUCH less what havoc these wheels had already wreaked on the suspension of the car ! These wheels belong on a 80s Cadillac Seville with a nice custom purple metallic paint!

Be aware that these are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE cars to maintain and due to age, a worthwhile warranty is out of the question.

The price for the car is 22,000 and the previouse owner had all the abc suspension replaced when he bought of a lease. He has a buddy that works at benz and i know the person to. It had just come off a 5 year lease and the owner has had it sense. Also,YES, i am so with you on the wheels they are getting changed out as part of the deal.

The car has a wald kit on it with a subwoofer also in the trunk. There is also the parking sensors. The inside is in perfect shape. i have never found a car (always a benz) that looks this brand new.

CL600 2003
The old V12 ( pre-2003) are known for very expensive repairs, the cooler plate or something will eventually leak, look it up

im a mechanic so that wont be a problem and i have always love to work on benz. So im not worried about that and with all the records the car is coming with i will check to see if that has been changed or not.

I always thought .. when buying used dont go for the DEAL , maximize your budget and try to get the most updated version of the model youre considering . the 2001 are dated compared to the 2003+ , the latter being twin turbo V12 the earlier ones arent .. the specs are totally different.. the command/ NAV unit is quite different ..if the original owner replaced all the suspension parts, what did he replace it with ? MB? any warranty ? I am not too familiar with the non turbo V12 but I heard that they require a lot of attention .. I always think of the newer generation engines coming out for a reason .. ie: the M113 5.5 L engine has been tried to tested for years before MB supercharged it and stuffed it into the W211 E55 .. the M275 I would think is the newer generation of the V12..and it stayed into the latter 2007+ V12...having said al that nothing matters if you love the car and it feels right .. $22K is a "decent" price for a well maintained car .. not a steal and not a ripoff

No offense , I am sure youre a great mechanic but watch out , the V12 is not your average V8 , and it is not for the faint of heart.. it is best to be familiar with them first , and a Star Diagnosis system is a must.

If the suspension was replaced after it came off 5 year lease, that is still 6 or so years old. I would not consider that as a recent repair. The 2001 CL600 is generally not as desired as the 2003+ as it is less reliable (oil cooler issues, cylinder shut off) and it is not turbo charged. That price seems good for a 2003, but seems very high for a 2001 unless you are really willing to pay a premium for a clean car. I would also budget on a good number of repairs. Even if you do the labor yourself, the parts alone, like valve blocks and struts, are many hundreds of dollars. You'll also need an SDS computer to work on the suspension so you can properly rodeo the system to get the bubbles out.

That is true on the expensive part but the car is a $100,000 car it is expected and yes i know alot about the benz, we have 2 other ones being an s430 and s500. True that it is nothing like the V8 but i am always up for new things. This is also not going to be a daily driver as the s500 is my dads daily driver. This is being bought and will be sitting much as the winter is here. Plus i have a good indy that works on nothing but mercedes, works for mercedes and has his own little shop. I just dont understand why some of the people on here complain about the repair bills as it seems they forget what kind of car they have. Sorry little frustration on these people arghhhhhhh.

Your opinion may be what it is because you have never owned a 215 CL. Even if you can work on the car yourself, the parts that break are extremely expensive. The 215 CL600 is unreliable but the pre 2003 CL600 is really unreliable.

I am not saying that the car is reliable but rather that it is a $100,000 car so parts are going to be expensive.

For $22k you can get a 2003 v12 tt. One sold recently on here with similar mileage, as well as another that is super clean but does have twice the miles. Guess it really just depends what you want, and you sound set on this one.

Good luck!

2003 CL600
dont do it

I dont want to make or break anyones sale but from a car collector i got 8 super luxury... and expert mechanic stand point...only 2003 and up Cl class is worth it. there is an issue that is common on pre-2003 cl600 not only are they 150 hp less than the next years model but....an issue will arise that will require you to take apart the motor. u dont want that now??do u?

Wait, you can get a 03+ v12tt or even 5.5 compressor for that money.

There's no point to get 00-02, especially that v12 nightmare.

My 2002 CL600 I'm selling is the only non-turbo/super W215 I have ever considered owning.

Yes, you can get a 2003 for this money, but not like this car, if you saw it you simply would not believe the condition, maintenance, etc. It's unreal.

You can see it here (all pics were taken right out of climate-controlled storage, not even a wash or vacuum):

2003 CL600
sorry but i doesnt matter

I will admit it really is the cleanest i have every seen wow!!! i fell in love with v12 with this car so i t is a good deal just be prepared in case...the one i got might have been abused i DK...

I have 8 super luxury and i only recommend 03+ v12 tt

you will be dissapointed without the TT and the problem i encountered with that model dam near put me off of super cars.

Im sorry to mess you things up but please listen to a cl600 owner 2002...
I prevailed an now own 8 super luxury. I did love that model thow... and if thats what you want by all means... i just dont want you to be put in the same situation as me. I understand it is a 100+k car but i took a huge loss on it....i got 115 k on my 2003 cl600 and i am confident it will hit 400k at this rate i drive it dam near everyday....

I got

2004 Bentley Arnage (chauffeur)
2003 CL600 (my fav)
2006 Ferrari 550 Maranello (really spoken for)
2003 Ferrari 360 Modena (spoken for)
2004 Aston Martin Vanquish (un matched beauty)
2009 BMW M6 (double digit cylinder contender)
2000 Rolls Royce Silver Seraph (another v12 masterpiece, chauffeur)
2011 CL65 AMG (my brand new BEAST!!)

if you have any of these vehicles and need help with work or parts etc. i got a killer connection, im repairing these vehicles at cost no joke ill show you how....
