STAR coding Q's: instrument cluster / lowering suspension

STAR guru's, please help me out here (thought I'd cross post to the w215 forum as well for my w220 just in case). I've searched and read and it seems everyone just says "go in and do it".

Tried to lower car via STAR - we could set it to where wanted it via the "Function" buttons to "+/-" each corner, and had it where I wanted after unplugging computer / shutting off car / restarting. However, suspension reverts to default setting upon moving the car. How do I get the setting to 'save'?

We also tried lowering it via entering the numerical voltage values via Nomess inclination gauge (don't have the gauge but tried the values suggested in the EClass forum via a link provided from Renntech, something like 5.2 and -1.3 IIRC), but that resulted in an error that the values were not within the accepted range (which they appear to be so I'm even more confused). ABS light now comes on when starting car, goes out w/ "R" button.

Awesome.

Regardin the cluster, I was hoping to acheive the ROW setting vs. USA and lose some of the ghey chimes and buzzers - forget which I'd read but it sounded appealing. It changed, but also did not save... but now my clock is 1.5hrs fast and in 24hr time, and my speedo reads WAY slow (digital works fine).

Awesome again.

That STAR system sure sucks hog's nutes compared to VAG-COM for VW/Audi. Tried to make best of it and ended up w/ 'this'.

Awesome.

ANY insight appreciated here gents, thanks in advance. I know a number here have done both these, and more. Please help 8-/.

Car looked sooooooo damn goooooooood properly lowered... I gotta nail this.

Here is what you are looking for, If you could add to these links it would be nice.

A step buy step guide with precise values would be great, lots of us want to do this...

I talked to a local shop regarding lowering my CL with the STAR. He says 80% of them will resort to the orginal height either immediately or a couple of weeks later. The best way to do this is actually buy a lowering module and that's what I did. Took 45min to install and I have a remote in the glovebox so I can turn off the module or lower it on the fly. Well worth the money.

THANK YOU IMMENSELY!!!

I'll do some searching as mentioned in that 1st link - I'm so glad I hopped on over here from the W220 snoreboard...

...I just got my car and came here, you CL guys seem a bit more lively / active. Phew.

Will also start searching the CL AMG board more, betting more enthusiastic base there.

Thanks very much again!
