Thinking 2000 CL500
Window components can also be very expensive to replace, including the track and such. I would be weary if this car needs several thousand in parts and labor to get running again.

My 2002 CL500 is probably worth about 10k right now and I've spent close to $4500 alone in 2011 fixing this and that (many abc issues)
I actually spent more then that. I'm lucky because my friend is a mechanic at the dealer so I get a break on labor and parts. With a HOOK UP I STILL spent $4500 up to this point
Regular maintenance like the fuel filter, spark plugs, oil changes etc arent that bad. It's when you have ABC issues that the dealer can only diagnose with their equipment. I don't know to many shops that have the rodeo machine which is pretty much a requirement when doing any ABC work if I'm not mistaken
Stay away. It's a beautiful car but if you don't have the money to fix it, don't bother.
