sirius radio conversion for cl500
i never thought that i would enjoy satellite radio. it had not been fitted as o.e. in my 2006 cl500. there was a time, as i understand it, when it could have been retrofitted inexpensively. but, i didn't think i wanted it.
then i acquired my 2008 porsche cayenne turbo and found a 2006 cl55. both with satellite radio.
real jazz really knocked me out.
so, recently, i have tried to acquire the components from benz to upgrade the radio in the 2006 cl500 to satellite reception.
my dealer has come up with half of the components. but not the other half. and the parts manager thinks that the others will be parts that benz will never be able to supply.
so, anyone have an idea as to how i might acquire those components independently?
ps: by the way, some weeks ago, i wrote about the seats in my 215 coupes and how my orthopod didn't like them. neither does my physical therapist.
on the other hand, i care to tell you that the pains that i was experiencing upon driving either of my 215's earlier this year were not caused by the seats, but by a lesion on my right pelvis. radiation therapy has ameliorated those pains. still, i am finding the porsche easier to get in and out of with my cane as i work to recover.
cheers.

You should be able to add it to your car. Starting in 2005 the lines were run in the car so you could by the tuner and antenna and add it at a later time. Do a general forum search and you will find the information you seek.

Search all of the mbworld formum sections to give you an idea of what you will need. It's close to the top of the page and says search.
I did it for you. Here are some results. Hope this helps.
