2002 CL500 Rim Offset

Hi I am new here.

I wanted to ask what the offset for 2002 CL500 rim is.

Mine currently has the 17" stock wheels on it.

I want to upgrade them to 18"

Any suggestions?

Anyone?

What offset should I look for in the rims for it to fit without any modifications or problems?

Wheel offset

Hi Mike;
The correct offset for the W215 Cl 500 is 35-45mm (ET 35-ET 45);

As for suggestions, try www.alloywheelsdirect.co.uk

They do AMG & Brabus wheels and will configure the correct fittings for your wheels. They also do good tyres. M.J.

I've got those 18" AMG wheels in silver with centercaps and tires that have almost no miles. Asking $1,000+ shipping. I spent more on the tires alone. They are Bridgestone REO50's. Just looking to clear out the garage.

CL Wheels

I've got a few sets. The silver ones are 18" AMG wheels and I want $1,000 plus shipping. They are staggered. Tires have very little wear and are Bridgestone RE050's. 8-11/32nd's on all of the tires. One of the wheels has a bit of clear coat peeling but this is easily fixed with a quick sand and coat of clear.

The black ones are 19" J2 wheels and are also for sale. I will let the 19" wheels and tires go for $700 + shipping. They have 255's in the front and 295's in the rear. There is a slight wobble at speed so the wheels may need to be straigntened. You can't visually see any damage but there is a balance/wobble issue at certain speeds. I will let these go for the value in the used Continentals Contisports. Front are 8/32 & rear are 4-5/32. These require a rear spacer for the CL600/55 to clear the rear calipers but should clear the rear caliper on the 500 without the spacer.

I also have a new CL600 transmission control but it is not in the origional box. They go used for $300+ on ebay. I'd let it go for $150 plus shipping. This is good if you want a spare TCU to have it programmed.

I'm in Florida. Both sets of wheels/tires came off my CL600.

ET means nothing without the width of the wheel. If it is an 8.5 front and 9.5 wheel back, it should work as long as the wheels clear the calipers. 8.5 front and 9.5 back ET35 mm will also work as long as the wheels clear the calipers.

I have euro63rs wheels 20x8.5 et32 front and 20x10 et42 in rear. The rear hits the caliper. What size spaceR would I need to clear?

Measure how far out you have to pull the wheel from the hub so it does not hit. That measurement will be the spacer you need.

If you are in need of spacers stay away from 5 mm use 10mm , and dont forget about the length of the wheel bolts( threads in contact)

And they have to be hub centric?

Why is that? If he needs 3 mm spacers, he should get 3 mm spacers. If he needs 5 mm spacers, he should get 5 mm spacers.

under 10 mm are tough to get with a lip so it lines up with the rim and hub.

Just get hubcentric. For a spacer to have a lip, it either needs to extend further than the hub or the wheels center bore has to be larger than the 66.56 mm of the stock wheel.

With the 215CL, at 10mm will the spacer stick out further than the hub? From my recollection, it doesn't but I could be mistaken.
