ABC Pump 2004 CL500
I have looked online and I can get a rebuilt pump from a company in Holland www.abcspecialist.de for £500 but they state as most people damage the pumps by fitting incorrectly that there is no guarantee on the pump once it is fitted!!
I can get a rebuilt pump with no exchange for £325 from a Polish company, The Best Zabielski, Email:office@worldofregeneration.uk with a 24 month guarantee - (but this seems too good to be true?)
Obviously the job is labour intensive and I don't want to do this again too soon.
Have any of you had any experience of these companies, good or bad?
I'm just after some advice guys as I don't have unlimited funds to throw at this. Any advice given will be received in good faith and with no liability attached .
Thanks
All in cost is £459 including vat and delivery.
Fingers crossed that this will be a good pump. Delivery is due in two weeks so I'll update once it's ftted.
.It does look to be spotless, I hope they have done a good job of reconditioning it. I dropped it over to the garage but they are booked up for a while so they'll try to squeeze it in when they can.
Out of interest it cost an additional £112 in import taxes so the total is now £571.00, still a lot cheaper than the £800 + VAT (20%) that MB wanted for the exchange unit.
Fingers crossed this will solve the problem.
I've got it for the weekend to road test and make sure all is now good; its going back into the garage on Monday for a service and to replace the door mirror indicator repeater on the driver side which is letting in water and constantly puts up a malfunction message.
Hopefully this will now see me through the winter without any major dramas!
Really pleased to have it back.
I'm not sure what mileage I covered in that period maybe 3-4k.
Hope that helps.
Jason
