ABC problem Like no other Please help figure it out

Hello I have been researching for a few days now and its getting frustrating not knowing what is going on. I have a 2002 CL500 and my front end has gone so low I cant drive it as my wheels are past my fender bottom. If i press the button to raise the car it does nothing at all. My mechanic has checked for leaks (no leaks), checked the pump and he says pump is working fine as the rear end is at normal ride height. this has happened over a 2 night period fist night it got a little low but driveable i parked it for 16 hours and then this. Stop car too low message in red appears. Do you have any clue what this could be? I am leaning towards front valve block but was told most likely its not that as that doesnt do much. This is my first mercedes so I have no clue please help.

Are you taking it to a Mercedes Mechanic? How did he check the pump? I personally think the pump is toast and not putting out what it should. If you are pressing the buttons and nothing is happening, its a sign the pump is gone.

May be the front control block.

Did you open the hood and check the fluid level?

Check the front control valve and hoses to see if there are leaks. DAS would give you more fault codes to isolate the issue.

One way to know if it is a pump, open the resorvoir cap but dont remove anything, start the car to see if there is fluid coming from the return line and flowing through the filter. If nothing is pumping out then you know for sure.

In DAS under test it would measure the pump pressure, it is around 180 bar for a good pump. If it is less than that (like 100 or below) and no leaks anywhere, its also a pump issue. If pump is good and the car is dropping over night (looks like yours is not raising at all) then it is a control valve.

I am overhauling a pump for sale that I got it on craigslist, it may take few days to complete (I am backed up with C-130 Fuel Qty Indicators for customers)

See my craigslist ad for the details:

Update on my car and cost

I really dont see where everybody is coming up with these outrageous prices to replace an abc pump.....that ended up being the problem with mine....I had to have the abc pump replaced plus they replaced one of the high pressure hoses direct from mercedes in Germany and my total for parts and labor was $1860.36 to be exact.....**** taking it to the dealership that is where they **** you with no lube. I took mine to Advanced European Automotive here in California where I am from, but im sure there are European auto mechanics in every city that specialize in BMW and Mercedes......All my parts and work is also under a warranty for 2 years...so do what you feel you have to do $5000 at mercedes or under $2000 at a european automotive shop

The dealer WILL charge you more than 2k for sure to replace the pump and the high pressure hose.

@mwhiteknight, did you ever replace your pump? Post your experience.

Yeah, the dealers in Bay Area (norcal) do you in the beach sand without lube too!. As an example, to fix wet differential (there was grinding noise) dealer asked for 4800 for my 1998 E320!

If the mechanic has tested the car on a STAR system you will have an answer

Once you have taken it to a Mercedes dealer or comparable business, he/she will tell you what is wrong. It might just be the front sensors but more than likely it is the front block but if you have it plugged into a Star computer, it will tell you exactly what is wrong. They can also go into the system and reset the parameters of the system. My bet is on the block if there are no leaks and the pump is working. They do a test which tells you the pressure of each strut. If everything looks fine then they will suggest the block. Been there many many times.
