Unhappy Engine performance

Hi All, now for more than one week, while im driving my 2001 CL600 V12 W215, suddenly it kept losing the engine power (performance) I mean something like switching off half of the engine, or like while running on v12 suddenly start running on less than V6,

I have a major service last month including full engine flushing and grinding from inside, new coil packs, new Fuel bumpe, new sparks, new injectors, new gaskets and seals, ... etc

Now I have this issue that makes driving this wonderful car like nightmare, I have to stop off-road every time and switch-off and again start the engine

Please help me..
Thanks,
Rami

The 2001 V12 actually does have cyclinder deactivation, so it might be turning off half the motor. I would recommend taking it back to the shop who did the major service.

Unhappy

Thanks Saintz for the reply, I have taken back the car the shop again, he told me to replace the right coil pack again!!! He told me this will solve the issue 100%, I bought a new one again after less than 5 months from the old one!!! After replacing the same, he cleared all the codes, and tested the car, but still doing the same!,,

First it stats miss firing very badly and slowly its like turning off the right (the new one) while driving and again slowly it started like turning off the engine, exactly like its turning off the sparks one by one till it die!!!!!

Please someone tell me what could make this to happen, I'm just paying money for nothing now, the coil pack cost around 600$ (3000 AED),

Thanks,

The ignition control module is probably dead. That is what tells the coil to fire and it can go out as well.

Is it the same Voltage Transformer Module, in the center of the engine?

I believe there are 2 ICM modules (one for each coil pack) in addition to the center module. This is on the turbo model, but I believe the non-turbo uses a similar ICM/coil setup.

Thanks Saintz for your help, I have sent it back to the garage, he found one of the Oxygen Sensors causing all issues, the sensor wire have melted because of the engine heat, he have just replaced the sensor with new one cost 300 AED= 45$ and now my engine performance back to real V12 with no misfiring and shutting down half side,

I don't believe that Oxygen sensor can do all those thing to the engine, I mean how it can control the engine and cause this bad misfiring!! do you have an idea about this, also its not coming on the DAS system while scanning the fault codes!!

Thanks,
Rami

Thumbs up

Sparks,,,Sparks,,, its all about SPARKS, hay all, for any engine performance issues or misfiring, always check the sparks, and use just the OEM sparks with MB part number, also dont mix different part numbers and change all one time,,,, dont wast your monye,

Thanks,
