Purchasing an '03 cl600 34,404 miles, want upgrades!
Hey guys, newbie here... I am in the process of purchasing an immaculate Tectite Gray "03 CL600 with only 34,404 Carfax/Autochek verified miles! Also purchasing bumber to bumper Warranty as I fully aware of their issues.
OK, on to the fun stuff...I'm looking to give the car a unique look. I've searched these forums, and was wondering if you guys got anywhere with the CF aggressive front bumper/rear bumper stuff?
Also, is there a company that offers that AMG Black Series "style" rear trunk spoiler? I'm looking to make the car more aggressive looking. I'd like it to be a Wolf, in Wolf's clothing
Already spoke to Jerry at Eurocharged for the standard ecu/tcu upgrade, and am currently searching out a Limited Slip Diff.
Thanks in advance, and I'm really excited to be here!

Cant say anything bad about EUROCHARGED but my SPEEDRIVEN TUNE is amazing. That is an amazing car with only 34K miles. SUPER GOOD FIND. As far as exterior modifications hit up NEAL from EUROTECK if you want good quality stuff such as front lip, rear carbon diffuser, or rear spoiler.
Good Luck

some warranty co's will void your warranty if they find out about mods.

@blownv8...thank you. Yes, am fully aware of the issues these cars have, thanks to these forums and others. I have made absolute, 100% sure, that the ABC, coil packs, oil leaks etc are covered. They are. I guess we'll never truly know until it's breaks and they're handed a multi thousand dollar bill!
@kamilclk430, thank you! After reading about these cars, and searching the country for the right one, I feel I got very lucky with this find. It's just a baby!
I have to say, after reading these forums, I'm not so sure I trust Speed driven. I've seen some pretty good things about Eurocharged and Jerry! I already spoke to Jerry, and he seems very knowledgable about these cars, and spent time with me on the phone, never rushed me.
Question: Did your 600 feel much faster with the tune, or hardly noticeable? Anyone can chime in here with their impressions of their Ecu/tcu tunes!
Thanks a lot guys!

With the CL600, I would not use the words that it FEELS fast, even after a tune. The car and motor are just way to refined for that, don't get me wrong it IS fast, it just may not FELL that way to you, this has been talked about a lot.
When I had my CL600 ECU / TCU done I took it for a drive on an open lonely highway, it was great but did not feel crazy fast. Then I started to play with other cars, normal cars become like bugs in the rear view, even fast cars just cant touch it. It puts a grin on your face that's vary hard to remove, you find yourself making up places to go just to drive it.

Thanks 1995e320cab,
I've heard that as well. I can't wait to get this thing! I'm picking it up tomorrow!
I'm sure Speeddriven is good, and very well may be the V12TT "go to" guys, but I've read things on this forum that were pretty scary about them recieving funds, and no longer responding etc... Let me say that I've never had a good or bad experience with them....I've just heard things.
I'm trying to pick out wheels now. I was thinking a pure black concave wheel would look great with the Tectite Gray paint. Black out the stock grill and the badges, lower it about an inch and call her Sinister.
Thanks for all the great comments!

W215 V12TT Build by Speedriven, W221 S550 4Matic
I drove my friends CL65 AMG that is bone stock and compared to my ECU/TCU tuned 600 it feels way different. Car pulls way harder and you feel it pull more and more the faster you go. I currently did more mods to the car and will be picking her up from Speedriven this weekend I will make a video to show you how the car sounds and drives.
I def think Karl (1995e320cab) is right about saying that the car feels different, and not like any other sports car you probably have driven. Its more like a jet with wheels on it. I use to own a Stroked out Blown Z06 with 770rwhp and a SL55 AMG, both cars felt sportier but you can't beat the CLs comfort and power. I will be doing a lot more work as the months go by, if you need any info or have any questions hit me up. I'm local to Speedriven (15min away) so if you need a hand with anything with them I can always help.

Kamilclk430, (and others) Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome here! That's a very kind offer, to go to Speedriven if I need, and I appreciate it.
I've decided to go with Speedriven after careful consideration and advice from you guys. I'll start with their ecu/tcu & mc30 pump immediately I take delivery of the car.
Next, it'll be catless downpipes....then LSD (any hints or buys on these please lmk)
This reminds me very much of my Supra days! Same basic ideas. I had a '98 Supra (full build) putting down 1003rwhp@34psi. That car NEVER broke! truly amazing car, but I'm 47 now...

Kamilclk430,
In a recent post I just re-read, you stated that you drove your friends stock CL65, and compared it to your tuned CL600. You spoke of the car feeling faster, and pulling harder and harder the faster it went.
It's unclear to me, which car you are reffering to...Which car did you feel was faster???? the 65 or the 600????
Thanks for clarifying!

I ran against an 04 cl65 with my 03 Renntech ECU/TCU tuned Cl600--from 0-80, we close but after that, my 600 started to pull away HARD from the 65 and of course, the AMG 65's are limited to 155 so he was toast after that--My 600 does 180 plus with just the tune and no mods--Only thing is this>> I had headaches with my tune as I had to change my coil packs so I bought used 1's which lasted about 3 months--I only paid $499 for both shipped to me but they didnt last-So for all my V12TT brothers, if u are going to TUNE your car, u MUST have the UPGRADED COIL PACKS --Rockauto.com sells the coil packs for about $800 each--I am also using E3.48 spark plugs on my car at 5 bucks each --these have 4 electrodes and dont require gapping-I installed last week--So far so good and my car pulls like a jet--I got the plugs from Advance Auto parts--I have a 1 year warranty on the coils also

The old OEM coil packs, even if NEW, will NOT handle the new load from the ECU--the ECU will eventually overheat and fry these coil packs quickly--275 150 06 80 and 275 150 07 80 are the new and improved coil packs--DONT get the 04 80 or 05 80--just words of wisdom--I will update u if something goes wrong with the packs

Good question stamps??--dunno?--never looked it up--U could possibly be right--the guy went to college with my brother a long time ago and was bragging about his CL65--he wanted to run my car and I was SURE he was gonna take me but I was surprised by the outcome so I am proud to say that with ONLY an ECU/TCU tune, I didnt have to spend 40k extra to create a car thats faster than a Cl65--I only spent 2k for my tune

I have not herd anything negative or bad from Eurocharged. I might send my CL to them at some point.
