I recently received my LED lights to replace my 64132 halogen parking lamps and stupid me, I ended up breaking one of the lamp sockets . I filed down one peg on the led bulb and tried it on the other side but I didn't like the color (too blue for me).

The reason that I went to the LED is because I didn't like the yellow halogen color next to the nice xenon DRL's.

My question is, is there a way of preventing the parking lights from turning on while I am driving? Can I do this with DAS or is there a fuse or relay that I can remove?? Obviously when I removed the bulbs I get the malfunction notice on the dash which I don't want to see. If I can't prevent the parking lights from coming on, is there a way to disable the malfunction notice??

ps, I changed the interior lights and the licence plate lights to LED's and it looks amazing!!! I recommend this to all of you that have not done it yet.

i believe that if you scroll through your settings menu you can disable the parking lights.

I tried that but there is no option for parking lights.

Do you mean in general or just during the day when you want your headlamps to work as DRL's? Because using the settings on the dash, you can set the headlight circuit to constant instead of manual and leave the headlight switch at 0 and you're set. Headlamps stay on and parking lights are off until you turn the knob.

I tried that but I don't have the Manual/Constant option as shown in the manual. The manual has a footnote on this option that says "Except Canada" (yes my car is Canadian). Is there anyway I can convert it to US settings without messing anything else up, maybe with DAS?

I don't care if the parking lights are disabled permanently, I don't think there is any need for them anyways.
