How are people installing there Dension Gateways?

How are people installing there Dension Gateways?
Just got a Dension Gateway and I am wondering are people installing it behind the dash or back by the changer? I have a Gen 2 command with MOST.

The fiber optic cables that came with mine only allowed me to mount it in the trunk by the other components. I took the center console apart, including the lid, removed the factory phone wiring, and ran the dennison control wiring though tha factory location mounting the control in the lid where the origonal cradle was. To do this required a USB extension. Unfortunately with the USB extension it doesn't work as the signal is too weak. I had to get a 10' Lighning cable and plug it directly into the trunk mounted unit to be able to play music with my phone plugged in. The Bluetooth streaming also works
With the switch where I mounted it I can control the source from the drivers seat as the switch still changes the source from the gateway to the multi cd changer even though I can't plug my phone directly in to it.

Loop the cd changer
I put the gateway behind the command . In the trunk I unplugged the cd changer and put a optic loop in the plug . Installed the extender in the passenger footwell . Phone , Bluetooth and usb work fine .
