Window only moves in stages/inches

Window only moves in stages/inches
Yet another thread on Window up/down issues. And yeah, I've been searching the net and forums.
This problem isn't to do with the express feature however.
Last night I disconnected my passenger door control module to fix the black clips as the unit was rattling at all speeds - so annoying!
Re-connected this morning only to find the windows will only move an inch or two when pressing the up/down buttons (stage 1 or 2 button presses). I've attempted to resync the windows a few times now but unfortunately it will still only move an inch or so with every press in either direction.
You can hear the regulator click after a second every time you press it. It never seems to want to continue.
Any ideas?

Just figured I'd post my findings;
Unplugged overnight. Re-attached just now and the window now works 100%, express feature and all, but the slow closing door is not initiating.
Here's hoping, 3rd time lucky tonight...
