2004 CL500 ABC System Leaking Fluid And Other Problems
Hi Everyone,
My ABC system in my 2004 CL500 is leaking. Needless to say I can no longer drive the car. The dealership wants to charge $5000 to fix this, which seems over the top to me.
I am not in a position or have the tools to do this work myself. High probability there are various items needing to be replaced and repaired.
Does anyone have any experience with this problem and what should the cost to repair this really be?
Thanks for the feedback.

Depends what is leaking
Usually it's just a hose which any forklift /hydraulics shop can fix for a fraction of dealer pricing . You'll need a good independent mechanic to remove and install the part
Or if it's the pump they are about $250 on rockauto.com, again an independent mechanic can install

have the dealer give you the print out of what is wrong and what he intends to repair, then shop around.
