Lightbulb CODE in Flashing Stop Lights project

Hi
Here a new cool feature to code in your car

I only need one more info to make it work
On the screen you see the screen of the rear SAM
this is one of the 2 settings pages to set flashing stop ON
options are:
flashing center stop light only
flashing left and right only
flashing both
starting from speed 0-150 KMPH
and frequency in Herz (flashing speed)

I couldn't get it working on my 2003 (2002 build) cl
so my question is

Is the REAR SAM module adding the possibility to turn this on
or some relay missing ?

Please ONLY kinda serious comments (if you are guessing, please keep your guess for yourself)

I'll try to get the info from MB Germany but any info helps

Hey Biff, you failed to ask yourself one important question---does my old 2002 CL have the feature(firmware)----if it does not then you can play with yourself all day and you will never be able to code the old SAM.

To answer that question simply hook up DAS and go the the SAM's to answer your question--are those options available???

who's Biff ?

You didn't understand me
I am asking what part contains the feature

but don't worry
I just ordered a 10/2003 rear SAM
once installed, I'll see if that is the part

maybe like me, I have a cl 2003 but the rear sam module is 2002
I bought a 2003/11 version module with fusebox and relays

hope that is it, if not I wasted some cash

maybe I have to cancel order if yours is same as I bought

left rear seat
little plastic clip to the left and seat goes out

then you need a 8mm and a 10mm to unbolt the stuff

so far what I understand is that they added flashing stop light as a pay-option
K11
what matters is the SW version. I bought, to be sure, a very late 2003 SW version
so it must work
let's see around Wednesday, I should receive the module

but very curious about what version you have

you should see 803 or 804 in options

if you see 803 you are like me

Didn't the 2002 have the old style tail lights and the 2003 had the new style ? Maybe the old style can't be coded to flash

I know when I asked my dealer to put 2003 lights on my 2002 cl 500 when they were fixing accident damage , the updated lights did not work correctly and they had to use the older style lights

so you might need to update to the newer SAM, and also upgrade to the newer tailights too

only thing I know is that my CL is 2003 facelift and that when I was upgrading my turn-lights to 2017 LED bulbs, I found that ALL my stoplights where LED already
there is no electronic to program in the taillights

they guy who sold me the rear sam cheated me
he announced HW 30/02 and SW 10/03
he send me a correct hardware version at least but SW is 02

I killed him in ebay

so now I have to get my SCN offline coding to work with the older 12.2014 DAS I am setting up and then I'll be able to code the SW to latest version

stay tuned.....

instead of killing him on ebay you should have contacting him and asked to return it. if he wouldn't do it you could have filed a complaint on ebay and they probably would have gotten your money back. i've done this several times and always gotten a refund.

Ok
some update

I guess I found the problem
unfortunatly it is not or might not be the rear sam module as I couldn't get it working
I found that it could be the
esp + pml + bas module that matches with a upgrade from 2205451832 to 2205453532 model 804

that is what triggers the stop lights

of course it would be easy if someone with adaptive flashing brake lights would check but there I dream on

so what I did.... guess what, I bought a 2205453532 module !
soon I will be able to open a store or build a W215 from all these parts I have....

I will get the part next days

so stay tuned for the next step
