NON-USA VIN

I purchased this 2001 CL600 VIN# WDB2153781A013883, No one will work on this car because they can’t get codes for it cause it shows invalid vin. I currently have a leak in the Active Body Control system; I recently learned that there is a Recall Campaign # 2007060002 because of the ABC high-pressure distribution hose failure. I contacted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration but they claimed they can’t help me because the it’s Grey Market Car. I contacted Mercedes Benz Corporate Offices and they said the same thing. Am I just out of luck ? Has anyone experienced this or heard of anything like this before? I did a CarFax which shows the Vehicle entered into the US in 2006 and the US Department of Transporation declared this vehicle meet US High Safety Specifications and a Bond was released. I also see on the CARFAX that over the years it was serviced by various MB dealers in the US (not the same state as I live) I called everyone of them and they could locate it in their systems but do confirm that it is a grey market car. I apologize in advance for the long thread, but you need the facts. I guess the big question is: Even though this is a grey market car will Mercedes honor the Recall?

Hi,
Did you have any issues getting a title and registering the car?
There is a 1985 280SL I would like to purchase. I have tried to get an idea what parts are going to cost. The car is not in any data bases.
How are you getting part?

Mercedes
The recall covers only one cheap hose out of the eleven abc hoses and chances are your leaking problem is not that hose that was recalled

just have a good independent shop change the bad hose forget about the recall
