Exclamation Exhaust Insulation MOD

So here another well tested mod

This is of course based on my mega tuned V12 CL

Doing test on keeping the engine cool I found that of course you could titanium wrap your manifold
but good luck with that without extracting the engine

Insulation intake ect doesn't really change much as the heat goes up to intake from the turbo aluminum pipe a lot
Insulating that make no sense
neither the inter coolers

Wrapping the exhaust from as high in engine as possible does
without cats like me is a more easier job
I double titanium wrapped that part all down after gearbox

result of that is a great lower temp in city as the heat doesn't go up in the engine without airflow anymore
but also another great thing
the pipes are very close to the transmission there

then, after testing more and more, I will leave the last sub frame cover off
anyway, if you have no cats it's cut makes no sense anymore

that helps even more with the transmission

enjoy !

It reduces radiant heat in the engine bay and the hot gases move faster than exhaust gases rapidly cooling down. It has some very good applications. Looks like you did a great job!!

I have used a product from JEG's. Titanium exhaust wrap. I had an early Porsche 924 Turbo, and I had the exhaust wrapped to try and lower underhood temps; the car ran hot, and I did all of the upgrades to solve the problem, then a friend who drag races, gave me this stuff to wrap the pipes. It worked, along with the other modes. A pain in the *** to install!!
