they are selling for $6-7000 that’s why . Drop your price to $6-7k and it will sell in a week . People are always confused why no one calls them about their car for sale and the answer is simple it’s priced too high . Once priced attractively cars sell quick .
I bought mine for $6100 last year and have seen them for $5k occasionally .

I actually looked at that car before I bought my old one, they had it for that long? It overheated on my test drive, plus the tan interior was too much for me, ended up getting a black on black car. But it was almost 3 years ago when I drove it, if they had it in inventory for that long I can see they wanted to bail on it.
They are still not regularly available for that money. A S600 yes, but the CL's are closer to 10k for decent cars.

Same here. When I was shopping I only found two under 10k and both were basket cases. Lots of S class cars but not many 03+ CL cars.

The price is all a function of condition. Frankly i would pay $10K more for something in excellent condition. You can spend $10K in a nano second on these cars if they need something significant fixed.
I know it is apples and oranges. However, State Farm gave me $21,500 for my 2005 CL55 with 100K miles on it when I totaled it in March. They said it was considered a “specialty car” and they did not have a book value on it. So they had it independently appraised. Now my car was in as new condition with no nicks, dents or scratches so I would have got the top end of the market. However, insurance companies are not known to give away money and that was what they offered me, i did not debate it with them. So I think that price or higher at retail would be a good value for a CL in great shape.

It was grey, but it's possible it was a different car due to the time. Def the same dealership, little backwoods place off the side of I95, they have lots of niche cars like that in the warehouse and sitting outside.

Well this thing is eating my lunch! When I bought it I knew it was going to need a new ABC pump and figured about 3k to do it or $1600 if I do it myself. I looked at my shops log and figured I would be better off sending it to the dealer so I can have a loaner and I ordered all the parts needed and a reman pump. I knew I was taking a chance on a reman pump but thought it was a $1000 gamble worth taking. Well I lost. So they ordered in a new ABC pump and installed it. Yesterday I call because the car should have been done already. He tells me a line that literally goes nowhere (its for the S class) burst and has to be replaced. $450 and they will waive the labor if I buy the part from them. Well the line is cheaper online but once you figure in 3 hours of Benz labor its no longer cheaper. At least they have to warranty it all now. Down side is paying twice for ABC pump install. I think we are at like $2400 in just labor. Worse yet I calculated the profit one lift made in that week at my shop and would have come out $600 ahead had I just done it myself and had the lift down all week.
In the mean time I will continue to treat this C300 like a red headed step child.
