I have been Rooting this A53 8-core Android Head-Unit,
For those who know, kingroot neither kingoroot work on these late 6.0.1 radios
so only even better thing to do is to flash it to custom rooted Malaysk ROM Android 8

then you'll get the latest and rooted

To understand what the difference is between a Car Head unit and a phone or tabled:

head unit has a second startup flash chip holding a MCU program
so MCU handles your car's specific CAN commands
These codes can be entered when accessing the Factory Settings menu item

after 2 days modding best APK's and options, I found the unit bugging, thought it where the APK programs, but not
It was overheat

Opened the device and yes, it was superhot, far to hot, causing the A53 cpu to freeze





the rear aluminum heat-sink should have been connected to the one on the CPU




Also, you see that that radio is all empty, very bad amp, that is why you need your own, using the intern amp is crazy

Now here is the best thing you can do, but you don't need this if you live in Alaska

open the device
permanently remove the top cover

If, like me you are modern, you don't need the ****ing DVD player, nobody uses DVD's or CD's these days




remove it, then disable the startup fonction in the MCU in factory menu





remove the acoustic tissue behind the cables where the radio fits, that holds heat

then drill 2 small 1.5 CM holes in the AC vent
you'll see, that doesn't changes the AC airflow but sends air on the device






Now you have a great cheap radio, working perfect without bugs for 300$
