New CL Owner, Old glovebox problem
Hey all! I have a new-to-me 2002 CL500 with the brown Designo interior (love it!)
But the latch on the dash glovebox door is broken. Not the latch that's on the dash, the latch that's on the door.
Is there a way to repair this? I've been looking at used glovebox doors, but many of them are broken, too.
Thanks for the help!

Mine was epoxied together when I bought the car about 7 years ago. It worked okay. Eventually it broke. Now I have the glovebox zip-tied shut so that I don’t have to deal with it. Seems like an unavoidable issue on the W215, wish there was an aftermarket option available..

I have been dealing with this issue this week too. Not sure there is any type of glue to will last for this fix but I am in the investigation process. A new lid is about $275.00.

Post a photo - it will help the peeps who are nice to help - My glovebox door broke and I used JB Weld to fix it. It's holding strong after 4 years now. I'll put up a photo a bit later when I get to the car.
NB: JB Weld will last forever and is indestructible.
