Front side turn signal access

I have another newbie question, How do I access the front side turn signals on my 2002 CL500? Does the plastic wheel liner push apart like on some other MBs, or is there another trick? My old C240 could be popped out from the side of the car without even going through the wheel well or underneath to get to it.

Same procedure as on your C240. A little tape on a very small screwdriver will prevent scratching the paint, while popping out the light.

Thank you.

That is what I did and replaced the bulbs on both sides, however they still don't work. I have been trying to figure out next if there is a fuse I can replace for them, but I cannot figure that out. The chart I saw simply says it is an electronic fuse, but does not indicate where it is.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

No, not on the mirror. There is a video on Youtube that shows you how to get to the lights on the mirror.

The parallelogram shaped lights on the front side of the car can be accessed by taking a flat-bladed screw driver and taping the tip to protect the paint on your car, then apply pressure against the front edge of the plastic light cover and press it toward the back of car. The little plastic clips will allow this to move and you can pull the fixture out easily. Once to have it out, you will see what to do with it.

good info. I changed my front signal bulbs and these bulbs as well, only one of each works on each side, front right turn signal now works again, and front right marker lamp works again. Otherside is still out.

Hard to know whether this is the visibly suffering wiring for the headlights etc, or if it’s Sam possibly. I guess the fraying wiring is a good place to start looking...
