The other day, I had the misfortune of spilling nearly 2.5 gallons of water on the floor on the front passenger side of the car. Water got absorbed into the entire carpet and made it's way to the fuse box behind the passenger seat. I was quick to bust out the shop vac and take out most of the water. I then took a carpet blower and left it on for 48 hrs to dry out any remaining moisture. The battery was unhooked while the drying was occurring.
After 2 days, everything was dry to the touch. Fuse box area was dried out and all my electronics started working again, drove the car around for a bit and things seem to be running well. However, I have an SRS error on my dash now that says SRS System Defect or something along those line. ABC works, power doors work, etc. So not sure what's going on...
Question is: is there an SRS computer or component that could be damaged under the passenger seat? If so, could someone point me to more info about it? Tried to search on the forums but I have no clue what I'm looking for...a bit of a newbie here.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
