Engine/Radiator Fan Motor

Hi there, I have an 02 CL500. It's in great shape, however my engine/radiator fan is getting noisy when the car is running so I think the fan motor is going bad. Does anyone know if I can just purchase the motor only instead of a complete fan assembly? I see a few used engine/radiator fan motors for sale on eBay but I'd prefer a brand new one as I don't know the condition of a used one. Please advise.

With the fan running, I did a quick test by disconnecting the connector & found out it wasn't the fan motor so looks like the noise is coming from somewhere else. I'm wondering could it be the water pump's bearing, alternator's bearing or one of the pulley's bearings? I guess I'll need to use a stethoscope to pinpoint the noise's source. Car is running fine, just a bit bothered by the noise when I'm standing in front of the car w/ the hood open that's all.

Take the belt off so you can determine if it's a pulley. If it is then try each pulley by hand and you will likely find the offender.

That's exactly what I did a few years ago on my old Lexus LS400 when it was making the noises & found the faulty alternator's & idle pulley's bearings on 2 different occasions. I'll do the same & hopefully, it'll show up. Thank you very much for reminding me. Have a good day.
