New Mercedes-Benz owner
Good day everyone,
I'm about to purchase 2001 CL 500.
it has some minor issues that I believe would be easy and not that expensive to fix:
- No audio from speakers
- ABS light on (ESP mode) - rear sensor bad
- SRS light on
- Rear windows don’t go down
- Rear headrests don’t go down
- Fog lights don’t work
- Washer fluid leaks out
- Miscellaneous bulbs burnt out
- Remote doesn’t lock doors
I've checked the Carfax.It is a clean title, no accidents, 2 owners.
Mercedes Benz is asking $300 to do the Pre Purchase inspection.Not sure about that one yet.
I'm not worried about radio and windows.I'm more worried about SRS and ABS.For the SRS could be the child sensor on the passenger seat?!
He was also mentioning that mechanic from Mercedes told him if rear signal acquisition module is replaced it would fix most of the issues?!
Any input on these would be appreciated as I'm about go and see the car this week.
