Well, I recently had to replace my mirror. The homelink did not work, and it was a feature I wanted. I went on Ebay and searched, and found MANY that said were compatible with the W215. Well, I bought one, and guess what- the connectors were not the same. Darn. Well, thought I would try it anyway, just to see, and was surprised to find that not only did it work, I now have memory setting on the mirror ( a function deleted in '03 I think- mine is an '04). What I lost was the microphone, but since I didn't use it anyway, no big loss. I later discovered that it is possible to marry the old and new styles together, so you can have the memory function as well as the echo reducing microphones.
