2004 CL600 AC Compressor Replacement
2004 CL600 AC Compressor Replacement
My AC Compressor locked; snapping the serpentine belt and melt idle pulley. I was able to free up the AC pulley, so the outer pulley will turn freely...now. Seem like the AC internal are done.
Does anyone have the steps to remove the AC compressor? I talk to MB dealership, needed 10hr of labor plus parts...ouch!! I've already bought the compressor and dryer, looking for any shortcuts on removing part without taking ABC pump from the top to gain access to bolts, wiring and ref-lines.

You could try and reach it from the wheel well, not sure how easy that is since you'll have a massive V12 laying in your face.
Anyway, I think that this compressor doesn't have a clutch with 2 pulleys. As far as I know, the compressor always rotates with the engine.
This could only be on the NA V12 though
