I have a 2005 cl500 with the 7 speed and I can’t find the Tcu/tcm anywhere has anyone located there’s or is it inside of the transmission like the later years?
The 7 speed may be different, but I know the five speed is in the fusebox in the top passenger side of the engine bay. It's really easy to pull out and swap, no programming is necessary for the 5 speed, unsure about the 7 speed. It is the N15/3
I'm pretty sure the 7 speed is inside the transmission. Have to drop the pan, then remove the Valve body. I believe that if you replace this part, it needs to be carefully mapped via Xentry . You may also need to copy current specs from your TCU via Zentry before replacement. If you go this far, be sure to check / consider replacing the speed sensors, as they are a known failure point.
