Is it just me or are those wheels are not fitting the entire car at all?? ONLY AMG in that car or AMG kit would do and with that, it should be standard...

In Europe they get far more fewer standard options than we get here in the states. Those might be his "winter" wheels.

I just cannot warm up to the front lamps on this car and the new s class.....this winged eye look.......they are just not inspiring at all....the rest of the car is great.........is it just me?

nope. me too. the front will eventually grow on me but the rear.... toyota solara. mb is just going towards the "winged eye look"

Most people always choose a larger size of varying designs. In Europe they can choose from the Incenio range as well as the options listed in the German factory list price book. More options than U.S. are available in Europe. I'm guessing he has AMG rims but is using those standard 17inch rims with winter tires now untill spring arrives.

TBH, most roads in Eastern Europe are of bad quality, and these regular rims help a lot. May be that the case..I had to switch to 17' on my AMG, because ride was almost unacceptable with stock 18'... Of course you can sacrifice comfort and put 19' for killing look, but still...
Unfortunately, nice looking rims almost always = bad ride quality here...
