I drove both yesterday (GT,63, 550). The Bentley has a nicer interior and in my opinion in is better looking from the exterior. Having said that the MB is just a better car. MB makes a lot of the S sedans and the CL shares the platform. By spreading the costs over so many cars they can deliver a lot more value. If the CL 63 and the GT were the same cost, the CL would be a much better value. The cl550 is a better car than the GT but it does not have the grunt...even though on American roads they are both over powered. Really, 0 to 60 in 4.5 or 5.5, its outrageous how fast these cars are. The suspension on the MB-ABC, is way better than the GT. If you havn't driven an ABC car you need to. The salesman just thought the airmatic on the s550 was great, and it is but, if you push a car hard, the ABC is just amazing.

Lorinser is for mc hammer types personally..I like the bentley for the classy look. If you want a benz then go for cl63...or the cl600

Cool

I personally would get the Bentley...sure its "used" but with low mileage, and with 552hp, AWD and the classy look and bentley interior (not to say the MB isnt), it'd be a no brainer for me

I just got a CL500 and I know my next coupe will be either the Bentley or the Masarati. Once you are spending this much money on a car, you want it to be at least semi-exclusive. Trust me, riding up and down Rt. 80, I see many more MB's than Bentleys out there. Cant go wrong with either bro so congrats on whichever one you pick because both are hot. Bentley is a bit hotter though.

'22 Alpina B7,'21 G63 Renntech obviously (wife), Wrangler(kids)
Someone here said no one would drive a Bentley in the snow.
Well, here in North suburbs of Chicago they are all daily drivers, especially since, with AWD they are really great in Winter.
My wife stopped driving her Range Rover SC around Christmas and switched full time to Spur as her daily kids/carpool/shopping hauler because she felt safer and the car handled better in snow.
Arnage is certainly more "exclusive",just drops in value almost 50% in first year, looks great in garage, has terribly ancient and useless ergonomics and handles like a drunken pig.
My opinion is not based on what I read or from sitting in one at the Autoshow either.
Coming back to the topic,I would spring for a CL600 if the car was for myself but definitely the CGT if my wife was to be the primary driver.(at least in the snowbelt)

wtf is mc hammer types? I saw the white cl550 no sport with rims next to a white GTC with 22's in a Las Vegas's Cesars Palace forum shop valet and the choice was GTC. I left my digi cam in the hotel ;(

2002 CLK 55 AMG Coupé
For those on the CL side of this burning question, the new Bentley Continental GT Speed is making it tougher to resist. A pretty thorough AMG-style upgrade of the whole car, starting with 15% more torque.

I'm a sucker for nice wood and leather interiors and that makes the Bentley hard to beat. The Speed model even comes standard with a "perforated hide" headliner.

But both of these cars are BIG BOATS. If you enjoy dancing on the pavement the CLK is the better choice. K is for "kurtz", i.e. short.

is a German Tank
I have stood next to both the CL63 and the Bentley, the Cl gives me goosebumps while the Bentley just looks really classy.

I'd go for the amg

Do yourself a favor and buy a new 2008 Continental GT Speed.

Much nicer than any CL.

Hi I am not sure if you have made your choice yet, between the Continental GT or a CL mercedes... But I own a 2005 CL65 and 2007 Continental GT and if there are any questions that you would like to have answered or if there is any way that I can be of service I would be more then happy to lend a hand...

CL550 you will lose a lot more money on the bentley, and plus i still have a problem with bentley and no sat radio!!! i mean come on, you spend 150k/200k on a car and you have to get sat radio installed at the factory and there is no way they can install it at local bentley dealership.

I just sold my BGT Coupe in order to buy the CL63

If you can find a used 63, either in CL or S form, then you have a no brainer.

The one regret I have about the Bentley is the way women reacted to it. If it is important to you to smell fish in the air when you pull up, the Bentley is a brand of chum that is without peer. With the Benzo, you may have to step your game up a bit becasue although chicks will dig it, they dont imediately fall into the "I'd let you do me if you let me ride-trance".

Real Talk.

I may be wrong but I believe a CL65 goes for about $200,00 give or take a few grand but you can certainly buy one for 180ish if you look for it the CL63 and CL600 are similar in price. They go for about 145-160. I may really far off on those numbers, hopefully someone else can confirm....

The Bentley Continental GT that I have (purchased with 100 miles on it 14 months ago) cost me about 190 grand then. I believe that a new 2008 bentley continental gt would run somewhere in the ball park of 195-205....
A Continental GT Speed starts at 205 grand and can be optioned up to the price of 225-230 grand
