new CL600 owner
Just picked her up yesterday! Up until yesterday i was posting on the CL AMG
board. Switched to a 600. Couldnt get passed the leather on the dash, doors etc..in the CL 63. The ride is much more relaxed in the 600. Now i dont have to worry as much over the road imperfections, didnt want to get a blow out. I couldnt believe how nice the poplar wood looks-stunning!! Also the rear shelf has leather in addition to the air bag cover. The headliner also has nice stitching and a pattern. Oh its titanium grey/black interior. Has anyone solved the radar detector problem? Can they work if u turn off the pre-safe and park distance?

Congrats! Tested a CL600 myself though family transport needs made the S600 more practical... Definitely have my eye on one in future when the nest is empty...

You tool around in a Maybach and CL and the poor wife has to contend with a lowly ML350?

I have not owned a maybach I have put some miles on one tough and my problem with it, is that it is clearly an old s class.they should have waited a year or three and released the maybach with the NEW S class by souping it up and making it super special.
but welcome to the CL 600 club it is awesome!

The Maybach came out in CY 2002. The W220 was still in production for 4 years after that, not to mention all the time this car must have been in development. I'm sure they didn't want to wait that long and miss the boat. Hopefully the Maybach will stay around and get some updates and be even better than before.

the maybach has overall been a huge failure. they recently did update it with the 57S there is one at my local dealer. kinda cool...kinda lame...rather have a f430 and a CL65

sit in one and sit in an old s class and you will get it. It is outdated from the drivers seat. I would take the rolls or a bentley arnageT...but I would rather have like I said an f430 and a cl600....

The Arnage is cool, but that car is way more out of date than the Maybach.

I have sat in one and had the opportunity to try all it's features, which is why I think it's a great car. The only thing that seems really outdated is the nav system now that the new Mercedes have the COMAND controler system.
