Trouble with dynamic seating
I have a 2009 CL550 with the dynamic seating option. I only have 3000 miles on the vehicle. For some reason the option turns off spontaneously and I cannot adjust the air bladders at all. It has only been happening over the last week while the temperature has been very cold here in the northeast. Has anyone else had trouble with this option? It is sporatic when it doesn't work- I'm sure if I make a service appointment the seats will function fine for the mechanic...

Never had an issue w/the various seat funcs on CLs...am in CA, so temps are always 50-75F yr-round....but others on Board who live back East seem to not report issues in cold temps

Well, it's happening again. The seats work initially but the dynamic function shuts off after about 15 minutes of driving. When I go to the menu to turn them on, the setting stays at zero. Interestingly the massage function still works when the dynamic function doesn't. I've resigned myself to having to take it to the dealer...

As cool as the dynamic seats are, they often cause more trouble than they are worth. That's just one of the reasons they took them out of the E-class. Good luck, warranty will definitely cover your issues.

CL 500 (550)
My driver seat has some problems too. It's working, but not as good as the co driver's seat where inflation is stronger. Dealership thinks it's just my personal feeling bc while driving I am anticipating turns etc - but it's definitely not.

This problem continued intermittently with me. I subsequently noticed an air leakage noise coming from the left side of the seat. When I took the car in for service the tech said one of the air bladders was probably leaking, and when the system senses this, it shuts down. They took apart the entire seat and changed the bladder system (took three hours) and no problem since.

So I went to the service today and they simply ordered the seat parts that are leaking. They said these parts have been released in an improved version (or so I understood) and the replacement takes 2 hours.
