2010 Exterior change to Mercedes CL
As far as I can tell from mercedes benz germany website the only exterior change is the mirrors. Can anyone notice or know of any other exterior changes to the CL?

Have a Jul build '10 CL65 underway; haven't seen official pics
Based upon '10 S65 pics presume fog lights and LED lighting (and headlts) may change w/new tech advances
Am most intrigued by changes to ABC, brakes, tires, steering, steering wheel, etc, not external cosmetic changes, unless those changes have meaningful safety/aerodynamic value

AFAIK there's no optical change except the mirrors. CL facelift is probably not due before next MY (2011) along with the rumoured renaming ("S-Class Coupé").
However, 2010 CL gets upgraded infotainment kit from S-Class facelift, like 3D navigation and "Splitview" Display (e.g. passenger can watch a DVD while driver sees nav on the same screen depending on the perspective)

zzboba, interesting views
'10 CL65 is being marketed in US as mid-cycle revision until fully-revised S/CL appear some 3 yrs later
Though we live in historically challenging times, '09 SL63/65 is a sales (and engineering (MCT reliability)) failure; hasn't been produced for some 6+ mos; some 200 new SL63 remain unsold in US on dealer lots; and AMG doesn't yet know when '10 SL65 produc will resume
AMG/F/P are all grappling with how to properly mkt >$150K cars in this difficult economy in which new, $200K 65s are much easier to sell than new 550/600/63 on SF Peninsula; I keep badgering AMG US that new S/CL65 is most undermarketed/underappreciated car in world; I'll keep getting new CL65s every 6-12mos; let's see if AMG US/Germany figure out what recession-resistant addicts prefer

These are the changes in Germany/Europe
- new bigger mirrors with LED indicators
- 18" alloys as standard for CL 500 (17" before)
- Optional "Sport package AMG" for CL 500
- New color "Palladiumsilber" (replaces "Cubanitsilber")
- 3D navigation view
- Splitview screen
- New media interface incl a "consumer cable kit"
Nothing much more really, but maybe we'll see a mid-MY facelift? I heard vague rumours that the CL facelift will be shown at the IAA show in Frankfurt (mid september). I doubt this though.

Just order the parts at the dealer paint and install anywhere. Don't see why dealers would not want to perform the upgrade if they are getting paid by the hour.

Here are some new mule pictures.
Nothing really new in the german article, facelift is kind of similar to S-Class with slight modifications to front bumper/grill and rear, LED lights, integrated angular tail pipes.
Coming for MY 2011 and named S-Class Coupé then they say.

Not really an improvement if you ask me, especially the kind of wavy shape of the front lights, but oh well, new is new...

Seems that MY10 CL65 will just be a stopgap model w/new Comand, DistPlus, NtView but lacking most of the new exterior and dynamic tech of '10 S65 (like smarter headlights, LED lighting ft and rear, new ABC, DirectSteer, Tq Vector Braking, etc etc)
Sounds like '11 S65 Coupe will arrive in Spr '10 w/these tech advances and perhaps a few more tech features (?ceramic brakes like SLS and E63; ?downshift blips ala 65Blk; ?few more hp like Maybach Zeppelin to create hp gap vs 599 and VW Speeds)
Also learned that there will not be a MY10 SL63/65; MY11 SL arrives in 1Q10 in US...perhaps all-new-tech SL?
Sounds like SLS, S65 Coupe and all-new-tech SL550/600 arriving in US in 1Q10....interesting times in a troubled auto industry as model timelines are being repositioned by the Big 3 (MB/F/P)

It's too early for a CL facelift (MoPf), but there's one coming up with LED lights etc, but not for MY '10.

Personally I'm really looking forward to the SLS

Mysteriously, AMG released all kinds of detail about '10 S65 some time ago but has been quiet about '10 CL65 (dealers in US assumed '10 CL65 would have all the new tech of '10 S65); your comments prompted me to investigate and it sounds like '10 CL65 is really a temporary model until '11 S65 Coupe arrives in Spring '10
Agree, SLS sounds intriguing; have ordered a copy; hope the ground clearance is useable for daily commuting on SF's steep hills (or at least has a lift feature like 997GT3 v2.0); don't know how reliable DCT will be (MCT is a disaster); and have become rather addicted to 65 torque (I recently test-drove a CL63 030 and realized it's a car with a lot of noise but no tq vs 65, even for routine 70-100MPH bursts)

Mercedes photoshopped the mirror. The '08 brochure have got the same pictures, with only other mirrors. There is also a big facelift (and namechange = S Coupe) coming on the CL.

Common approach. I have a 1972 brochure with what was probably then a masking technique to change the Euro headlights on a 350SL with that of the U.S. round sealed beams.
