2012 CLS 550
thoughts on 07 cl550?

I am thinking about getting an 07 CL. It has the sport package, has about 40K miles and seems to be in great condition.

A few questions ...

Its $55K, is this a decent price? it seems in line with what others are listed for but high based on some of the reported prices on the forum.

Any major issues to watch out for?

Finally, I also have an 08 S550 ... how similar are these cars?

Thx!

I too own a w221 as a DD. Original owner since 2007 and have always wanted a w216 too but just couldnt find it in me to pull the trigger for what i thought was the same car. However, two years ago i finally did and found out that they are not that same car at all. Two cars are very similar but very different at the same time. Both cars are equally solid but the Cl is much more sporty and quicker believe it or not. The driving position is coupe like and very different than the S. I have the options in my cl such as adaptive seats, night vision, back up camera, park assist, and distronic that i dont in my S so the driving experience is a bit more special. Plus, every piece of the dash is wrapped in leather unlike the s where only half is leather so the car feels more expensive.
These days i see s classes just about everywhere. When i got the w221 in 07, it was a special car that got attention, now no one even looks. The 216 is much more rare that still gets a lot of attention especially since mine is white, sport, and slightly modded.
I dont know the prices these days but i guess 55k sounds good to me for a 120k sticker car.

Oh yeah. Maintain it just like your 221 and make sure you get the tranny serviced on that 07 at the 45K mark.

If you get a car with 40k miles you will have service b coming up?? Plus the recommended tranny service. Its the same as your s either service a, b, or c

2007 CL550 (Launch Edition)
Too much

Hi, if you haven't purchased yet, you can beat that price. I own a 2007 CL550 launch that had 37,000 miles and MB CPO that was listed for 48,000
