Hesitation When Floored?

I have a 2008 CL550, well maintained. I'm noticing some serious hesitation when I floor it.
For the most part average driving seems pretty normal, it's just when I hit that gas to accelerate and pass someone on the highway say from 60MPH I might floor it to pass someone I'll floor it, she thinks for about two seconds, then finally kicks in.
It's driving me crazy. I was at an intersection making a turn yielding to oncoming traffic. Gunned it to shoot across the light, the fkng thing hesitated and had me going slow for a second through this major intersection then kicked in. Ridiculous.
I had a service appt scheduled but wondered if anyone had an ideas. I've read about the MAF but I thought that would throw error codes or a check engine light?
Of course the air filter is good (or so it should be since I get regular A/B service). Spark plugs I don't think are even due yet. Tranny service (flush, gaskets etc) was recently done as well.
Any ideas before I get raped by the dealer. Actually I have a good relationship with them they told me to try some fuel injector cleaner first. I did, I tried the Chevron bottle, and some Lucas. I see no difference.
By the way I always put 93 in. I almost always use Shell or BP and when I had had to make do with an off brand gas like Hess or Citgo that's long been flushed out after the many fill ups.

I used the Chevron version and the Lucas version. I was skeptical it seemed to help VEERRRRY little but it could also be the placebo effect. It def didn't stop be from being hung out to dry in the middle of an intersection after flooring it.

Another thing I did was buy some el cheapo code scanner (I'm not even sure if it's working with my car) but it didn't give any codes, but it didn't seem to have any obvious problems communicating with my CAN BUS.
I bought a CEN-TECH 98568 OBDII/EOBD not sure if anyone has used this on an 08 or later but it didn't say it couldn't read my computer but it didn't provide codes either so I assume my car wasn't throwing any codes.
1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position.
2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds.
3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.
4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.
A member a couple of years ago had reported that this procedure made a significant improvement
