First MB is a W216.

Just thought I would check in. Car gets here Thursday. Looking forward to modding it. Let the fun begin!

I had put a deposit on a W221, but at the last minute, I decided to really wanted a coupe, and wanted to have a little fun at the track once in a while..so I gave up the deposit on the W221, and here I am now.

I noticed that this section does not get much action. Ill try to be involved as much as I can, spice it up a little I used to have a lot of fun back in the day modding, and participating in the LS1tech forums back before it got all ****ty lol

The finish looks great. I hope I can keep it looking that good. I had a black 04 Cobra convertible, and mannnnn was that car a ***** to keep looking clean on the outside.

Came with all the goodies too. Makes the buy sooo much sweeter when the guy hands over all his hard-earned receipts, brochures, and the original window sticker

Im not really big on the wood, with black. Im pretty sure Im going to carbon fiber the interior, but they said that they cant do the steering wheel. I could either paint it black, or alcantera suede it. IDK. Im leaning towards maybe locating a plack piano wheel and just swapping with that.

As of now, this wood on the inside is the only thing about the car I dont like.

Strangely enough, I got it from a dealer by the name of "Team One Motorcars" in Atlanta. I noticed the plate said Auto Connection, but was wondering if maybe they're a third party seller for Auto Connection, or they are both the same place? Idk

OK after one day driving this thing, all I have to say is ...WOW!
They thought of almost everything. Got lots of looks all night. Crazy

Ive had many fast cars, but nothing so smooth/fast. Its like sitting in a JET as its taking off if you stay into the throttle. Pushes you into the seat and before you know it you're triple-digit speeds, and dead-silent.

Sound quality of the sound system is pretty good for a factory system, bass is enough for my taste, mids are pretty good. The quality of the highs varies from track to track, sometimes due to just the kbps of the file I download, sometimes due to the tweeters it seems.

Exhaust is almost dead silent. I like it like that. I DO want to put dual electric cutouts, but not dumped. I have something special in mind. I want loud, but exotic as well. I honestly wish you could hear more turbo. Gotta love that sound.

Interior is so well thought out, and all the controls, menus, buttons, from their shapes, to their locations, texture, tactility, to that nice "click" feeling that they all have.

Handling is great for its weight and weight distribution. Probably not easy to feel what the rear is doing though if you turn off traction control. and try to launch hard. It feels a little disconnected.

What a car!

Ive bought a lot of cars, and this car I have almost nothing bad to say about. (CL600's in general)

Dislikes:

1. NO STREAMING MUSIC?? Aww comon!
2. DVDs dont play. lame, but VIM is in my future, after Telematics update and new NAV update
3. NAV looks dated. For a 2007 Kia. What happened there? lol
4. Cant change ambient lighting color, i wasnt aware the older ones cant change the color(right?). No biggie, can change myself if I want. Im good with electrical stuff. It sure woulda been cooler to switch on-the-fly like that though, instead of picking one color, and sticking to it. My favorite color is blue, so I wanted to try the blue.

As for this particular CL600, the only minor details I found were:

1. A very, very small knick on rear pass. bumper, on corner. About 1/4-half the size of a grain of rice. Rest of paint is flawless. HARD to pull of on a 2007 BLACK car, with 70K miles!
2. idler or tensioner puller(or some pulley) making a slight noise that sounds like a bad bearing on a pulley.
3. power steering made very slight noise, but only super **** car-people like mysel would notice most likely.
4. rear headrest dont go up? not sure if im just not doing it right, but im hitting the button on the center console by the Comfort/Sport button & No worky. Ill try and raise them by hand and see if they lower on their own, or if thats not functioning, either.
5. Rear passenger seat "V12" emblem is...upside-down. Im thinking someone might have tried to fix the headrest issue and was unsuccessful, and was pissed off, and hastily installed it like that?

Rest is immaculate. Since I bought online, sight-unseen..I was leery about getting another black interior, because the pics made it looks very, very grey, so I was worried that the salesman's "black" was really "gray", and I just got an ugly *** interior, but noope... Its fabulous!

I even actually like the wood trims and everything, so the carbon fiber bits just got moved down my list of mods, and the VIM moved up. It definately must be seen in person to be fully appreciated. This car truly is fit for a king.

It's been a WHILE since I got that "little kid" feeling from a vehicle purchase...its nice to back!

Im definately going to have something cool to post. Got something for the CL cooking ALREADY, I've just got to catch up on some bills, but by XMas I should have something coming out of the oven!

baseline dyno might go down soon, if I have time and the shop has time on the same day(planets align)

PCM and TCM tune will be going down. I might have something cool planning in this area too. Eurocharged is a short drive from me, and I already spoke to them about a little swap hehe They made me an offer that was pretty darn good, and theyre close!

and the electric cutouts I mentioned

I would like to upgrade the H/e pump and H/e, a must-do.

Possible extra set of rims and sticky tires after that. Ill probably need it pretty bad.

VIM.

Bluetooth module for center console

So between all that, I should have my hands full for 2014. Realistically, itll probably take me all year to do all that stuff, but maybe Ill have an extra-great holiday season and tax season, and have it all by spring!

Thanks man.

Well really really bad news in my world

Friday night I paused my Playstation to do homework that was due at 11PM and 4 men wearing ski masks kicked in my door and they all had AK47s, with wierd masks on top of the ski masks, and they seemed like they were all messed up on some hardcore ****

I know you are supposed to cooperate and give them what they want, but I didnt want to, because I work hard for my ****, and if I just give it to them, there is no incentive to keep me alive.

So I held off for a long time, they beat me, theres blood all over my living room floor(mine). At one point I had one guys AK on my left hand and the other guys in my right hand and there was a 3rd guy holding his right in front of me pointing his at me and yelling how he was going to kill me if I ran and all kinds of ****.

Man, I hope nobody has to live through that **** !

Crazy crazy crazy ..wow!

They took my PS4, Battlefield 4, my diamond watch, my Galaxy S3 phone, ripped my Wifi router out the wall took that, and my hydro.(I smoke)

These guys were looking for a safe, but I have bank accounts lol IDK why they think ppl that have money keep it in a safe haha wtf who does that?
