CL550 Fogligh to DRL upgrade 2008

Hey guys my name is Sam from Harry's Auto dba Foreign Luxuries. I've been searching all over the internet to figure out the best and easiest way to upgrade the fog lights on a 08 CL550 sport pkg to the new facelift style with the LED's. It seems like a big mystery, all the photos you find online with this upgrade are not detailed or close up for you to see how its done. Other shops who have successfully completed this upgrade are pretty hush hush about what goes into this upgrade. Long story short it is not a easy swap of parts, there's a lot of modification to be done to the bumper before you can just pop in the new parts and enjoy your upgrade. The plastic grills that hold the LED's are designed totally different then the original fog light version. The fog light version sits rite into the bumper opening from the front of the bumper and screws on. The LED plastic grill made for the face lift bumper is designed to be clipped on from the back (inside) of the bumper. There is a lot of cutting and custom modding involved. We have been in the auto business for over 20 years now, located in W. Hollywood CA working on custom jobs to basic oil changes. I am currently in the process of completing the upgrade on my 2008 CL550. I will be posting pictures of how we are modding the bumper to make it fit the new grills. This upgrade is something we definitely offer, please inquire via PM

pic below.

Also we are modifing the brabus trunk lip to our linking.
Red tinted reverse lights (facelift style)
22" Forgiato Concavo's
Sebring AMG 63 style exhaust with diffuser
Lowering Links

Car is almost complete, waiting on Mercedes to send us correct parts!

Hope you enjoy this thread! Feel free to ask questions...

Cool thanks, yeah he did a complete face lift...must of cost him a small fortune. We are retro fitting the new style DRL to the old Foglight style without changing Headlights, Hood, Fenders, Bumper ,Grill..... less expensive upgrade that goes a long way visually.

Mercedes Benz CL550
The car looks amazing, along with the color. I just picked up a arctic white Cl550 last week with 20,000 miles from mercedes, and I wanted to convert the diffuser to look like the CL63 or the CL65. May I ask where you bought yours from, as well as those gorgeous exhaust tips? Or is it a full exhaust system. I seen others where the tips don't match up well with the pipes inside so the actual tips come out of the diffuser all slanted. I would appreciate your help thank you.
