Full battery, can't get into my car?
Hey guys.
This might be a dumb question but since I know very little of this car I must ask: Is there a second battery somewhere?
The issue I'm having is that I parked my CL in the garage for the winter and put a maintenance-charger on the battery. Yesterday I went out to get some things from the glovebox and the car seems to be totally dead.
It is unlocked but the windows wont lower and thus I cannot open the doors.
The car doesn't react to the keyfob at all. Checked the battery and it's good, delivering 13 volts.
How can I get into the car? Full battery but car seems to be totally dead. Checked the fuses next to the battery and they are all intact.
Cheers.

There are Two batteries.......a starter battery under the hood, and the main battery in the trunk behind the rear seatback panel.......that's assuming you have a W216 CL63 AMG and not a W216 CL36 AMG as listed in your profile

Thanks. I was looking in the trunk but wasn't able to find anything. Guess I didn't look good enough. Will call someone over who knows the vehicle. Also thanks for finding my typo! :-)

You can open the doors using the blade key in your key fob. It is a little tricky, see an online copy of the owners manual.
1) Insert mechanical key into the driver’s door lock until it stops.
2) Turn mechanical key counterclockwise to horizontal position and hold it there.
3) Pull the door handle until the locking knob moves up.
The driver’s door is unlocked.
4)Pull the door handle once more to open the driver’s door
Once you get the door open, you may be able to start the engine with the key fob plugged in. The trunk battery MIGHT then be charged by driving for a while. There is a post next to the main battery under the hood which I believe is connected to the trunk battery which you should be able to use for charging it.
